Scratch Sessions
Sunday 28th April

The Old Market, Hove
3pm £1 on the door

With a focus on promoting new writing, Spun Glass Theatre will ensure that new ideas are given a sure start. Five teams of new writers will have ten minute slots to try their new poetry, script, short story, stand up; anything goes. An afternoon event for all ages.
There’ll be time in between acts and after the show to fill in feedback forms, get some hot or cold drinks and cake, and discuss the work. If you’re a watcher, you may be inspired to get scratching yourself. (Writing, that is.)

To take part, get in contact with spunglasstheatre@live.co.uk

Scratch Sessions will also run on March 24th and April 28th

In 2012 We Did This helped Spun Glass Theatre raised over £1000, through their online crowd funding site, to make their new show 'You Left Me in the Dark' there is more information about this organisation below.

"WeDidThis believe that profound and positive change can be made to the Arts sector, by working with artists and producers to curate a high-quality portfolio of creative projects offering compelling rewards. Wedidthis believes in connecting individuals and organisations who also want the arts to grow and thrive."

We Did This is now partnered with Peoplefund.it Arts, the UK's leading online Arts crowd funding marketplace.

"Peoplefund.it is a new crowdsourcing website from the makers of River Cottage, Hugh's Fish Fight and Chicken Out! which brings together individuals with fresh business ideas. Originally a way for charities to raise funds, crowdsourcing is increasingly used by entrepreneurs to raise essential financial backing for exciting new projects. Of course you need a good idea, but without the cash to turn it into reality, that’s all it is – an idea. Hence Peoplefund.it, the UK's biggest crowd sourcing platform. You have two options. You can raise the cash you need to get your project off the ground or you can get behind a project that's close to your heart, in return for a reward from the project owner. All our projects offer rewards to investors in return for pledges of support from as little as £1 and if it doesn't hit its target, it won't hit you in the pocket."
