Something incredible is coming to Hastings Old Town this autumn. We are absolutely thrilled to unveil Pizza and Plays—a groundbreaking new writing project by Spun Glass Theatre, backed by Arts Council England!

 

We have partnered with the Hastings Museum to unearth the town's darkest lore and richest history. Three phenomenal writers have transformed these local secrets into gripping, live drama.

 

Even better? We have completely revamped our home venue, Stade Hall, into a sleek, atmospheric performance studio just for this series. Every single night features a brand-new play, followed by hot pizza, drinks, and an epic after-party soundtracked by the legendary Remi Vibesman of Hidden Beach!

 

📅 The Star-Studded Lineup

• 18th September 2026: Chloë Lawrence-Taylor
  Kick off the season with our brilliant new playwright-on-attachment (National Theatre, Hampstead Theatre).

• 30th October 2026: Anna Atkinson
  A haunting Halloween-eve special exploring local historical folklore and our coastal emotional landscapes.

• 5th December 2026: Elijah W Harris
  The grand finale from a powerhouse local writer whose recent credits include Netflix's KAOS.

This is more than just a theatre show. It is a celebration of culture, community, and creativity right on your doorstep. Spaces in our new studio layout are strictly limited, and these nights will sell out.

How it works

Click on the date you want above and you will be taken to our booking site where you can select a ticket of either £5, £10, £15 which gets you in to see the play and access to the party afterwards. We will be running a bar and fresh Pizza will be available to purchase on site.
