TRUSTEES
Spun Glass Theatre is seeking to appoint Trustees for a two year term.
This is a voluntary and unremunerated position.
Trustees will be responsible for ensuring that Spun Glass Theatre is run sustainably and in accordance with its vision and aims. They will help us to register as a charity and refine/deliver on our new three year plan, spanning 2023-2026.
Producing Associate

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Producing Associate to support the growth and sustainability of Spun Glass Theatre and its venue, The Stade Hall. This role combines producing, community engagement, partnership development and income generation. The successful candidate will help expand our audience reach, strengthen community relationships, support and maintain the development of new artistic and revenue opportunities, and shape the future of the live theatre we create.
LOCATION: Hastings – including work at The Stade Hall and across the Spun Glass Spaces network

PAY: £200 per week (for one day per week)
​
WORKING PATTERN: Part-time ( 1 day per week). Some evenings and weekends will be required.

Current Opportunities
Playwright
​
We are seeking to develop a brand new creative partnership with a playwright. The role has no fixed outcome however we are looking to invest in a writing creative, with a vision of developing new play/s for touring theatre for studio and community spaces in the South East. Developed, rehearsed and premiered at our community venue in Hastings, The Stade Hall.
​
The playwright will be supported and work closely with the Creative Director, and producing associates, and require an artistic commitment and/or understanding the company’s mission. The role will suit a playwright interested in touring actor/character/relationship centric work, an individual that enjoys field research, and working closely with a director. You might be an emerging or new playwright, or someone with an established body of work excited by the opportunity to develop new plays and ideas with a company and small venue.
